Dalane Folkemuseum has its own library in the administration building at Slettebø which consists of both older and newer books. It has a separate local history department with a newspaper archive. The books otherwise represented in the library cover a range of different topics, including ships, seamen, seafaring, geology, communications, language, place names, politics, Norwegian history, religion and churches.
The library is available to the public by appointment, within the opening hours of the museum's administration building at Slettebø.
