BOOKING A LEARNING SESSION

Please contact us to book a learning session and find a date for your visit. We customise our learning sessions to suit the age and interests of our visitors. If you wish for us to provide a learning session regarding a non-listed topic, we can tailor a visit especially for you.

Our learning sessions take place at Egersund Fayancemuseum and Dalane Folkemuseum’s facilities at Slettebø, but it is also possible to arrange sessions at other locations, or in a classroom environment.

You can visit Egersund Fayancemuseum on your own, within opening hours. Please contact us prior to such visits.

MUSEUMSLOSEN

Our learning sessions are published at MuseumsLosen. This is a website where school and kindergarten teachers can browse through the many learning experiences offered at various museums in Norway. You can read about our learning sessions, and even book a session, at MuseumsLosen.

Visit MuseumsLosen here.

COOPERATION WITH SCHOOLS

We wish to work in close cooperation with schools in Dalane. As such, we will happily contribute to project work at your school. Our item collection, photo collection, collection of local history literature, and various buildings around Dalane, provide useful starting points for various topics.

THE CULTURAL SCHOOLBAG

The Cultural Schoolbag is a national system made to ensure that all Norwegian pupils get to experience various types of professional art and culture. Dalane Folkemuseum is part of Eigersund municipality’s «schoolbag», and mainly offers sessions for grades 3-4. Dalane Folkemuseum also offers a learning session for 9th grade pupils in Dalane, focusing on World War II, where the museum pays for transport by bus. Relevant schools are contacted with further information regarding this offer.
